At an event, you may encounter some difficult situations involving the people you are working with. It is normal for people to disagree in any group, especially when discussing difficult topics.

Establishing some clear ground rules which you can refer to if someone is behaving in a difficult manner can remove any ambiguity about the purpose of the event.
