The importance of leadership

Think back to a time when you witnessed a crisis. Maybe it was a flood, a car accident or a sudden illness.

Did someone step up and take charge of the situation?
How did their leadership impact the outcome of the situation?

In times of crisis, having a strong leader can make all the difference. A good leader in a community at risk of flooding is about being equipped with the skills to assist the wider population in preparing for these events. These skills can be learned and practiced.

In this module, we'll explore the key roles and skills of a group leader and why they're essential for a community preparing for or responding to a flood event.
